Access is more limited than a typical public tee sheet

Resort guests and Club at La Costa members only. Registered resort guests may reserve up to 90 days in advance by calling the La Costa Golf Shop. Members also have access under club privileges. Resort guests receive one course per day based on rotation… Public/single-player origination rules are not relevant as a public tee-sheet product; resort/member single handling should be confirmed with the golf shop.

Current conditions can materially change the value

Normal-play / good-to-great signal on Sept. 12; next first-party aerification closure is Oct. 5–9, 2026. Current ultra-fresh September golfer sample is limited. Current turf species not fully verified. Omni says Nov–end of March fairways/approaches/greens remain green while rough is expected to turn light-yellow dormant.

What the course is like

This is built as a destination-style round

Traditional mature-tree-lined parkland course with gentle doglegs and a premium on accuracy rather than raw power. Challenging but more approachable than North; Tee I 6,996 / 74.8 / 138 and six tee sets down to 4,904.

Who this course is best for

A particularly good fit for newer golfers

Resort guests; Club members; mid/high handicaps; families; walkers; traditional parkland fans; tournament-history fans; practice-focused golfers. Traditional, more approachable and much cheaper than North. Current condition signal is good-to-great but less fresh; local value sentiment is mixed at $209.
