How Aviara Golf Club plays

Elevation, water, risk/reward lines, long closing holes and large green complexes create substantial strategic and visual variety across the Arnold Palmer routing. Championship length, 140+ slope, elevation, water, bunkering and enormous fast greens make Aviara a legitimate hard resort course from the Palmer tees. Sculpted bunkering is strategically prominent and current golfer evidence generally describes the sand as well maintained.

Large, strongly undulating, slick greens are one of Aviara's defining strengths and scoring defenses; Fast is the current aggregate classification. Lagoon views, lush botanical landscaping, rolling hills, water and wildflowers make scenery one of the most consistently praised parts of the Aviara experience. Terrain is rolling and the resort product is strongly cart-oriented, but no current official public walking policy or walking rate was located.
