Access is more limited than a typical public tee sheet

Resort guests and Club at La Costa members only. Registered resort guests may reserve up to 90 days in advance by calling the La Costa Golf Shop. Members also have access under club privileges. Resort guests receive one course per day based on rotation… Public/single-player origination rules are not relevant as a public tee-sheet product; resort/member single handling should be confirmed with the golf shop.

Immediate post-aerification recovery as of Sept. 12, 2026: official maintenance window ended Sept. 11. Do not publish normal championship-condition language until refreshed. Current post-Hanse turf species are not fully verified. Architecture uses native/barranca areas and tournament-scale fairway/green complexes.

This is built as a destination-style round

Modern Hanse/Wagner championship course with native barrancas, strategic width, severe green complexes, drivable par-4 No. 11, short strategic par-3 No. 16 and 609-yard par-5 finisher. Extreme from Tee I; highly scalable through six tee sets down to 4,502 yards.

Best for golfers who want a stronger test

Resort guests; Club members; low handicaps; tournament golfers; architecture fans; NCAA-history fans; families using Express/forward tees; practice-focused golfers. Architecturally strong and nationally significant, but extremely difficult from the back and expensive. Current condition must be treated as aeration recovery today even though pre-maintenance sentiment was positive.
