What to know before you play

Mission Bay is the only City of San Diego course with lighting infrastructure. Night course play is suspended until further notice under the City's July 15, 2026 notice; the notice does not say the driving range or entire facility is closed. Its practice center includes a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, and short-game area.

Booking guidance

Advance Booking Fee: $10 per player, non-refundable, separate from the green fee; green fee paid on day of play.
Advance Booking Window: 8–90 days in advance
Group Booking: Formal group-request process is for 16 or more players and can request dates beyond the normal 90-day window; requests under 16 through that process are denied.

Reservation Rules: Tee times are non-transferable, cannot be rescheduled, player of record must be present and play, and golfers should check in at least 30 minutes before tee time or risk forfeiture.
Standard Booking Window: 0–7 days in advance with no booking fee
Virtual Waitlist: Same-day virtual waitlist is available for golfers physically at the facility; openings are called in registration order when cancellations/no-shows create availability.

Grass Tee Seasonality: Grass range tees are closed during the winter season; golfers should not assume year-round grass availability.
Practice Facilities: Driving range, practice putting greens, chipping greens, practice sand traps, professional instruction and rental equipment.
Range Hours: 7:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m.; last range balls 8:30 p.m.; Tuesday opens 9:00 a.m. for maintenance.
