What the course is like

This is built as a destination-style round

Strategic, water-heavy inland-valley layout with doglegs, narrower corridors, elevation, native vegetation and repeated positioning decisions. Historical and current sources consistently point to water, forced carries and tighter sections as the main penalties, so keeping the ball in play matters more than overpowering the course.

Walking the course

Walkability depends on the terrain

Walking is allowed, and the terrain makes it a moderate physical effort rather than an easy flat walk. There is meaningful elevation, but it is less severe than steeper local layouts such as Mt. Woodson.

San Diego golf
