Golfer Guide

What the course is like

A dramatic foothill course built around strategy

Maderas is a 7,167-yard par-72 championship layout through the rocky Poway foothills. Elevation changes, water, native terrain and risk-reward decisions make course management more important than simply hitting it long.

Walking the course

The terrain makes this a demanding walk

Steep elevation changes, long transitions and rugged native terrain make Maderas one of the more physically demanding public-course walks in San Diego.
