How The Welk Fountains Course plays

Eight short par 4s, elevation changes, trees, bunkers, water and sloped greens create real course-management decisions despite the 3,940-yard total. Latest detailed independent report found very good fairway coverage and good lies; use as recent directional evidence, not a permanent current-condition guarantee. Modern detailed feedback describes smooth, medium-speed greens with meaningful slope; the architecture is a recurring source of difficulty even though current 2026 speed needs a refresh.

Walking is allowed and the short total yardage helps, but elevation and rolling transitions make the walk more demanding than Oaks or a flat par-3 course.
